What are you seeing as trajectories and trends within independent makers? What do viewers want to see?

While there is not much academic literature that highlights specific trends in modern documentary film, there is data from the analysis company Parrot Analytics which shows that demand for documentaries is at 7.4 percent when compared to 2020, when they made up only 6.8 percent of the market. Demand for documentaries is trending upward, fast.
